“Art for Life and the
Living”, has been Kurt’s motto since his days of painting and selling on
Jackson Square in New Orleans. For what
is life without art, and what is living if not for art? As the saying goes, ‘Earth’
without ‘art’ is just ‘Eh’.
A graduate of the University of Texas School of Fine Arts, Kurt’s painterly style of brush work, with roots in impressionism, has been combined with the flavors and colors of New Orleans for a perfect blend of ‘street’ and ‘fine’ art.
Kurt’s studio and life are now in Golden, Colorado; with majestic scenery and dramatic sunset’s providing inspiration for his latest works. Exciting explosions of color on canvas that reach out to the viewer, refusing to be ignored – at least by the living.
